Quinoa with Paneer and Raisins


Quinoa is a powerhouse of nutrition.

Quinoa is a powerhouse of nutrition, and makes a good substitute for rice.

You will need:

  • 1/2 cup quinoa
  • 1 cup pure water
  • 1/2 cup diced paneer
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • Rock salt to taste(optional)
  • 1 tbsp ghee


Wash the quinoa thoroughly by rinsing it several times. Drain.

 

Heat a pan and roast the quinoa dry for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

 

Add water, stir and bring to a boil.

 

Cover, reduce heat and cook at a gentle simmer for about 15 minutes.

 

Heat ghee in a pan until clear and gently stir-fry the paneer cubes and raisins in the ghee for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.

 

Stir in the salt into the quinoa.

 

Fold in the paneer and raisins gently.

 

Enjoy warm.
